Import Sourcing
We find, vet and land the goods Indian buyers need — from supplier shortlist to customs clearance.
- Supplier identification & audit
- Price and terms negotiation
- Customs, duty & documentation
For over twenty-five years, Travia Traders has moved consumer goods, textiles, electronics, machinery and industrial supplies across borders — sourcing for Indian buyers, opening export markets for Indian makers, and distributing to shelves nationwide.
What we do
Whether you are sourcing abroad, selling abroad, moving stock across India or looking for the right counterparty, one desk handles it end to end.
We find, vet and land the goods Indian buyers need — from supplier shortlist to customs clearance.
Indian manufacturers reach overseas buyers through our established network of importers and agents.
Stockist, wholesale and retail distribution that puts your product on shelves across the country.
We represent manufacturers as commission agents and broker deals where a trusted intermediary is needed.
Who we work with
The structure changes depending on which side of the deal you sit on. The accountability does not.
You have the capacity and the product. We find the overseas buyer, model the landed cost and carry the documentation so a first order becomes a programme.
One Indian counterparty across seven categories, with pre-shipment inspection and a consolidated document set instead of a dozen vendor relationships.
Replenishment you can plan around — held inventory, agreed credit terms after the first cycles, and honest lead times when a line is running late.
Volume and private-label sourcing with specification sheets, sample approval and QC gates built into the schedule rather than bolted on.
Building materials and hardware delivered to a site programme, with phased dispatch so you are not storing six months of stock on a live site.
Sub-agency and joint mandates on written, transparent commission terms. We do not go around an introducing agent — that is how the network stays useful.
Product categories
Breadth is our advantage. One relationship covers a fast-moving consumer line and a container of industrial spares alike.
Fast-moving household and personal goods sourced at volume and distributed to modern trade and general trade alike.
Greige and finished fabric, home textiles, made-ups and garments moved between Indian mills and overseas buyers.
Components, accessories and finished consumer electronics — sourced from verified factories with pre-shipment testing.
Industrial and packaging machinery, plus spares — imported to order with installation partners on the ground.
Tiles, sanitaryware, fittings and finishing materials supplied to contractors, projects and dealer networks.
Fasteners, tools, hand and power hardware distributed to retailers, dealers and industrial buyers.
Why Travia Traders
Trading is a business of trust. Here is what that looks like in practice.
A quarter-century of shipments means we have already solved the problem your consignment is about to hit.
IEC, HS classification, LC terms, certificates of origin — documentation is prepared in-house, not outsourced.
Buyers in 15+ countries, an office in Pitampura, and replies that land inside your working day.
Pre-shipment inspection and sample approval on every new line, so surprises stay at the factory gate.
Consolidate suppliers instead of juggling them. Mixed-category containers are routine for us.
Every enquiry gets a costed, realistic response within one working day — including when the answer is no.
How it works
Tell us the product, volume and destination. We confirm feasibility and indicative pricing.
We shortlist suppliers or buyers, send samples for approval and lock commercial terms.
Goods are inspected pre-dispatch, documented, insured and booked onto the right freight route.
Customs cleared, duties settled, and the consignment delivered to your warehouse, site or shelf.
Logistics & freight
Anyone can find a supplier. What decides whether a consignment arrives on time and on budget is the freight booking, the paperwork and the customs file behind it.
Routes and lead times are indicative. Both are confirmed in writing on your quote before any order is placed.
Global reach
Our buyers and suppliers sit across four continents, and our sourcing runs through the Indian manufacturing hubs that actually make the goods — Ludhiana for textiles, Morbi for tiles, Rajkot and Jalandhar for hardware and castings.
If a route is new to us, we say so and quote the extra lead time rather than guess at it.

Credentials
Travia Traders Private Limited is an incorporated company with the registrations a cross-border trade requires — so your consignment never stalls on a missing licence.
Common questions
If your question is not here, ask it — we would rather answer once, properly.
You will hear from a named person at our desk within one working day. For a familiar line that first reply usually contains indicative pricing; for a new product or route it tells you how long the full quote will take, which is typically three to five working days while suppliers come back to us.
It depends entirely on the category and the supplier. Consumer goods and hardware can often move LCL from fairly modest volumes; machinery is quoted per unit; textiles usually need a mill's minimum run. Tell us the quantity you have in mind and we will say plainly whether it is workable rather than stringing you along.
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons buyers work with us. We handle the differing HS codes, inspection requirements and supplier schedules behind the scenes, so a mixed container reaches you as a single consignment with one set of documents and one invoice.
Export orders typically run on a letter of credit or an advance-and-balance TT arrangement. Domestic distribution starts on advance terms and moves to agreed credit after the first few cycles. Whatever the structure, it is written into the proforma invoice before production begins, never agreed verbally.
Pre-shipment inspection exists precisely to catch that, and most deviations are found before the container is sealed. Where something does get through, the remedy — replacement, credit or rework — is defined in the purchase contract, and we pursue it with the supplier on your behalf rather than leaving you to argue with a factory abroad.
Both, depending on what suits the deal. We buy and sell as merchants and stockists, and we also act as commission agents or brokers where a manufacturer would rather invoice the buyer directly. Which structure applies is agreed in writing up front, and when we work on commission the rate is disclosed to both sides.
Send us the product, quantity and destination — you will have a considered reply within one working day.
